Our Basketball Program Is Underway in Kumasi!

Excitement filled the court as the African Athletic & Academic Bridge Foundation hosted our very first basketball clinic in Kumasi, Ghana! Over 30 kids showed up eager to learn, play, and grow—a powerful reminder of the potential waiting to be unlocked in every young athlete.

The clinic marked the official launch of our bimonthly basketball program, designed to provide consistent training, mentorship, and opportunities for skill development. In partnership with Snipers Basketball Skills Academy, who bring years of experience developing basketball talent in Ghana, and Clockwork Brand, which provides gear and resources for every player, the program is built to give youth everything they need to succeed on and off the court.

Throughout the session, children practiced fundamentals, engaged in team drills, and learned valuable lessons in discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. For many participants, this was their first chance to experience structured basketball training, and their enthusiasm and energy were infectious.

This first clinic is just the beginning. With bimonthly sessions now underway, we are laying the foundation for a sustainable basketball ecosystem in Kumasi, and eventually, across other cities and sports programs. Our goal is to create opportunities where youth can grow, explore, and thrive—on the court, in academics, and in life.

We are thrilled to see this journey begin and invite the community, families, and supporters to follow along, engage, and celebrate the growth of Africa’s youth with us. Together, we are building pathways for success, one clinic at a time.
