In its first year of operation, AAABF established the foundation for an international youth development organization focused on bridging athletics and academics for underserved communities in Kumasi, Ghana. Operating without external funding, the organization successfully launched and sustained programming through internally funded initiatives.

- Successfully launched and maintained basketball clinics serving youth in Kumasi
